Westminster Secondary School is a public high school in London, Ontario, Canada, at 230 Base Line Road West.
Westminster is administered by the Thames Valley District School Board. Approximately 1,000 students attend the school in South London, in grades nine to 12, plus a co-op program.
The school mascot is the wildcat. Westminster is known for the strength of its various programs, which include drama, visual arts, their award winning model United Nations club and boys basketball.
In April 2006, the Westminster U.N. club, led by Mr. Smith, head of the history department, took home two major awards at the year end meet. Both, Best Sr. Delegation, and Best Jr. Delegation were taken home, won by John Benbow and Ali Hassan respectively.
In May 2006 the students and staff hosted a Relay for Life for the Canadian Cancer Society. The Wildcat students and staff raised over $20,000 in a pursuit to find a cure for cancer.
In the 2008-2009 school year, the Senior Boys volleyball team reached the W.O.S.S.A.A. Championships, a feat which had not been accomplished in 15 years.
In 2009, the Senior Boys Football team defeated their arch rivals to win their first game in more than 25 games. A week later, the team shut-out Holy Cross for their first shut out.
In 2011, the Senior Boys Football team went 2-0 for the first time since 1994.
In 2012, Westminster Secondary School will be celebrating it's 50th anniversary - Reunion May 25 - 26, 2012.
